  1. Hi all, first time posting on this site so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I really need some input on this. I play stoneblock on a server fairly frequently and have had no issues until last night. I attempted to join receiving the error code: Internal Exception: " io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 2171807 is larger than protocol maximum of 2097152 " [see screenshot] It happened out of the blue, and I get this error message every time I attempt to log in. I've scoured the internet for hours trying to find a fix for this but to no avail. The only things I have found are similar error messages for vanilla MC in which the player merely needs to update their client/version. Since I play on a server, updating my version would make it so that I wouldn't be able to join, making that option moot. Just for the sake of ruling that out, I joined 3 different servers on the same version, with no issue. The other 'solution' I found was multiple people saying that this error is server-side, and to speak with the server owner/developer to solve it. I personally know both the owner and developer for the server I play on, and spoke with them. Neither have any idea what this issue is. For the sake of testing if it's server side or client side I reduced all my settings to the highest performance, reduced my render distance to 2, reinstalled the modpack 3 times, reinstalled my launcher twice, updated my version then went back to the version I'm on, none of it leading to any success. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, either if I'm able to do it or if there's a fix I can relay to the owner or developer, it would be greatly appreciated. If there's any other info I missed putting on this post please let me know. Thanks for your time, Besim
