Yes to both. Only add-ons I have running are the flash and/or html player and ghostery and Ive tried flipping both to disabled.

Ive tried both. They save to the file but the size is 0kb. Not sure what the deal is, Ive used many downloads from here before without any problems.

Unfortunately your friend isnt the only one with that issue and my java is up-to- date.
