Do you know what this means. I could launch it one time but now it crashes again: And I do have a updated launcher now

Okay.. I overwrited the old minecraft launcher and discarded the even older launcher. So everythink works now. Thanks for the help!

I actually updated it. It's wierd tho that I had to update it right after I installed it.. But now I can't even open the launcher ?

Downloaded the deb file and runned the command: sudo dpkg -i "TheFileName".deb

And I did update sudo after the deb installation

Yea. It says I don't have the latest launcher but I just installed it

When I tried to start forge 1.12 after 1.13 not working:

Nevermind.. It came up and everything but now, not any version of forge want to start. It just says "Game Crashed". I don't have anything in the mods or addons folder

It worked now! I deleted the Forge launch-option and created a new. And it popped up. Thanks for trying to help anyways

I updated the launcher and re-installed forge for 1.13. Every other forge-versions popup still but not 1.13

I know they updated the Linux launcher about a year ago and even from a jar file to packed deb. I can test to update it if it makes any difference. But how does every other versoin work with forge?

When you download and install forge on linux, forge does not appear in the game versoin shoeser. I can install earlier versions and run them compleatly fine and the 1.13 forge folder is in the versions folder it but can't be shoosen in the menu
