ok, that makes sense. But why did my server work other times but not now? EDIT: I used the command prompt and used my laptop's IPv4 Address. It worked but my laptop can handle the lag. EDIT2: another error, this time it was an actually crash. report as follows

and why cant I just put a port in? I've had the server running before and it worked.

oh, when I run it, it srashes and I go to minecraft to see if something was already runing and nothing was it said it couldnt connect

it still doesnt work, It said "[14:02:03] [Server thread/WARN] [net.minecraft.server.dedicated.DedicatedServer]: **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!"

Man, I knew I was stupid but I didn't think that stupid... welp. Thanks for helping me with my server. Have a nice day everyone. Hopefully, next time I'm there it will be to help someone instead of being helped... One last question. Is it possible to bring up the server's console? can I make a shortcut to do so? because when I start the forge version the console doesn't stay up for long.
