Do i have to check this through the server admin, or in my computer?

Hello. My issue began when i installed Minecraft on my mac in order to play on my friend's server. I went into a fresh 1.13.2 vanilla Minecraft first in order so it can load stuff for forge and then i proceeded to install Forge, but when i try playing on the Forge profile, and click play the launcher resets and gives me a message that "minecraft stopped working". It is worth mentioning that if i log into a normal 1.14 or 1.13.2 vanilla profile the game starts perfectly. I did a bit of research and got no solution as apparently it hasn't happened to anyone else yet. I even tried to see if "Rift" would work but it is insanely buggy to even start it. Another piece of info that i don't know if could be the issue, but still worth noting, is that i'm not using Mojave on Mac (Using High Sierra instead).
