yep! Again, sorry about wrong terminology, but are you asking about a Minecraft launcher, or an installer for forge? Thanks in advance

(Sorry if this sounds odd, I'm not sure about the proper terms) I don't have any screenshots or log files, but I can try to describe. I download the installer thing for Windows, I go through the installing process, it says that it was properly installed. I open Minecraft, aware of what is supposed to happen if the installation process works, and nothing is changed.

That's what I'm doing, and nothing works. No matter what I do nothing seems to work. I downloaded the file that works for my version of Minecraft, I downloaded the launcher for Windows, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Hey, sorry to be a bother, but I've downloaded forge about 6 times now. Each time I download it and go through the procedures, it says that it's been successfully downloaded to Minecraft. Good, right? So, I check the .Minecraft folder (where it says it downloaded to) and nothing is there. I check everywhere, but there's nothing. I decide to play the game and hope for the best, but again it appears like forge isn't working. I've followed every tutorial, recent and old. I've made sure that everything is up-to-date and in the correct version. I even looked on this forum and saw that someone said to change the default application that opens files. Been there, done that. It seems like no matter what I do I can not download it properly! Please help, and thank you in advance
