Thank you, I should have paid more attention to the version I installed. It now works fine.

Used to work fine, even though it shows my forge as unnamed installation Now after completely removing forge and reinstalling the recommended version, it starts fine, and seems ok even when I create new world. I get to the point where it says joining world, then starts to show the world, but nothing loads in, just blue sky with no land or texture, then says saving world and crashes. crash log included here. Any suggestions?crashlog.txt

Well, was so simple, I am surprised I hadn't tried this before. Ran the installer as administrator and everything worked.
