  1. So, I should put my example_item.json in the models folder and the .png file in the textures folder, right?

  3. I think this is the relevant log [m[1;31m[07:13:59] [Server-Worker-2/ERROR] [minecraft/AtlasTexture]: Using missing texture, unable to load fm:textures/item/example_item.png : java.io.FileNotFoundException: fm:textures/item/example_item.png But why is it looking for that in the "textures" folder. The tutorial I am following tells to put it in the folder I did. What changes should I make?
  4. What part of the game log should I post? Lot of things are showing up in the console
  5. I am learning to make Minecraft mods. I added a new item into the game. Here is my code for @EventBusSubscriber : package com.gameatro.FirstMod; import com.gameatro.FirstMod.init.ModItemGroups; import com.gameatro.FirstMod.util.Reference; import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.Mod.EventBusSubscriber; import net.minecraftforge.registries.IForgeRegistryEntry; import net.minecraft.item.Item; import net.minecraft.util.ResourceLocation; import net.minecraftforge.event.RegistryEvent; import net.minecraftforge.eventbus.api.SubscribeEvent; @EventBusSubscriber(modid = Reference.MODID, bus = Event
  6. ok, thanks. the tutorial doesn't tell that. it just tells to run the game and that the mod will appear the game
  7. This tutorial doesn't show how to add the mods to minecraft though. I made some changes in the mod, put it in a zip file and added it to the mod folder of minecraft, but it doesn't showup in the game
  8. Is there any video tutorial for the latest version that you recommend? I am doing this for first time, so video tutorials would be better. also, is the Instance problem I mentioned due to the same reason?
  9. I am learning to make Minecraft mods by following a YouTube tutorial. As per it's instructions, I downloaded latest minecraft forge(1.15.1), extracted it, then opening the powershell in the extracted directory, ran the command ".\gradlew eclipse". After that I opened eclipse and imported the forge folder as a project. I created a package inside src/main/java. Inside the package, I made a Main class file. This is the code inside the Main class file: package com.gameatro.FirstMod; import com.gameatro.FirstMod.util.Reference; import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.Mod; @Mod(modid = Reference.M
  10. Well, I tried it again and now the other exceptions are resolved. I think the site was down. But I now get: > Could not resolve all files for configuration ':_compileJava_1'. > Could not find client-extra.jar (net.minecraft:client:1.15.1). Searched in the following locations: file:/C:/Users/shind/.gradle/caches/forge_gradle/bundeled_repo/net/minecraft/client/1.15.1/client-1.15.1-extra.jar
  11. libraries.minecraft.net The one that was giving the timeout
  12. I meant, the site is not opening in any of the connections. it gives error 403 on the browser.
  13. Is the minecraft libraries site down currently? I tried accessing it through different internet connections, nothing works. that may be the reason
  14. He/She did in their fourth reply. well forget that, but reinstalling Java still gives the same error.
  15. You asked me the java version. that is why I told you
