  1. Another brief, if somewhat promising, update. After some troubleshooting and a little more research, it does appear to be related to running multiple monitors with nvidia graphics. I was unable to find a fix. However, reconnecting my USB-C docking station and doing a brief restart on the box appears to have somewhat alleviated the issue. I'm now able to occasionally launch Forge without crashing. Not an ideal fix, but at least I can play. For those interested, I'm currently running nvidia driver 440.44. I'm hopeful future updates to this and the Display Link driver I'm using for docking station support will fix this issue fully. If I find any more information, fixes, or have a marked change in performance I'll be sure to update this thread for posterity.
  2. Hey team, minor update. I've still not found a solution to this one, and wanted to provide the full debug log from an attempt this morning. Note that I've tried playing with a few different Java executable paths with no change in symptoms. I have a suspicion it may be related to the Display Link driver I'm using with a USB-C docking station, for external monitor, peripherals, ethernet, etc. I'll do some troubleshooting on that end and see if I can find anything.
  3. Hey team, Just made the swap to Linux running PopOS 19.10 and am trying to get my Minecraft Forge client up and running. I've got JDK/JRE 8 set up and the vanilla game runs fine. I've also got a local Forge server running that friends are able to join, but my client still crashes and gives the following error report: Note that I currently have no mods installed. I've also performed a reinstall of base Minecraft as well as Forge with no change in symptoms. Let me know what your thoughts are or if there's any additional information I can provide. Your help is greatly appreciated.
