  1. That was the whole problem. It works now. Only thing that sucks is that it lags. I might have to get a better computer or upgrade something. Any advice?
  2. I think what the problem is - from reading other posts elsewhere - is that I downloaded Minecraft for Windows 10. I got Java, and am waiting on some things to install. I see the correct version now. That one you’d mentioned is for the windows 10 version
  3. I have Minecraft version 1.14.60. The only version of forge close I can is 1.14.4. when I try to run the download on the “mod system installer” window, there’s a red error message which says “there is no Minecraft directory set up. Either choose an alternative, or run the Minecraft launcher to create one.” I hit ok anyways, and get “there is no Minecraft installation at: ”C:\Users\richa\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft” I’ve read that I need to play the vanilla game. I do. I play the game: both on one of the servers in it, and on one I’ve made up. But, I still get the same error message. Any advice?
