resolved..downloaded java...duh

can not donwload 1.16.1 version of forge. there is not an .exe folder to download, only .jar

thank you.. so the mods i see on minecraftmods.com with1.12.2 next to it i assume wont work for 1.16.1?

do i need to download the forge to my specific minecraft version. example i have version 1.16.1 however i see mods that are of different versions. help
