    Trouble launching Minecraft through Eclipse

    I've been trying to get Eclipse to launch Minecraft via runClient. It will open Minecraft for a split second before crashing. I've tried to mess around with the JDK version but have just gotten different errors. The current error I am getting: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java/nio/IntBuffer.clear()Ljava/nio/IntBuffer; (loaded from /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/adoptopenjdk-8-openj9.jdk/Contents/Home/jre/lib/rt.jar by <Bootstrap Loader>) called from class net.minecraft.client.renderer.texture.TextureUtil (loaded from jar:file:/Users/oliviasorensen/.gradle/caches/forge_gradle/minecraft_user_repo/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.12.2-14.23.5.2855_mapped_snapshot_20171003-1.12/forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2855_mapped_snapshot_20171003-1.12-recomp.jar!/net/minecraft/client/renderer/texture/TextureUtil.class by net.minecraft.launchwrapper.LaunchClassLoader@7b8e987b).
