Help with allocating more ram to forge server
gandalforger replied to gandalforger's topic in Support & Bug Reports
How can I prove it? Do you want a screenshot of it? -
Hello. I am currently having problems with allocating ram to forge server jar file. I create a bat file to start the forge server. "java -Xmx 1024 -Xms 1024 -jar <server filename>.jar" But no matter what i do I always get this error: Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. So far I've tried: -Uninstalling 32 bit Java and installing 64 bit. -Win+R>sysdm.cpl>Create new environment variable -Lower the amount of ram Note that if I run the normal forge server file, it works just as normal but because it uses a lower amount of ram, it is laggy. So no problems with launching the server. Problem is, I can not allocate more ram to it. I play on version 1.15.2
