    I had this same error with 1.12.2 but was told that that version was no longer supported. I have now tried using the forge app with a modpack loaded on 1.16.5. I'm still getting the SE binary not responding message. How do I fix this? I'm at my wits end.

    Trying to run forge version 1.12.2, and it crashes when you open any world. Either right away, or after loading a few chunks. The world's work in vanilla non-forge Minecraft All worlds were new, for the correct version, and I have not loaded any mods. The message I get on screen is: Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working. Has anyone else encountered this? I've tried to troubleshoot but am getting nowhere.
