when i try to download a mod using curse forge, it comes up as a zip folder. i deleted the original thing that came with microsoft because i thought it wouldn’t happen if i deleted it. it’s still not working and is now coming up as a zip folder, what do i do?

i tried installing jarfix and it didn’t help. or maybe im not using it right? im not exactly sure how to use it, when i download a minecraft mod it always comes up as a zip file. how can i use the jarfix?

So, i downloaded java and forge to get some mods into minecraft. everything was going smoothly until the folders started getting converted into zip folders and not java folders. i have tried every trick in the book and nothing works. help!!
