  1. It appears changing the Xms upwards gives it more RAM. I fundamentally misunderstood Xms vs Xmx and after using Visualvm was able to better understand what it was doing. Thanks for the feedback! Problem solved
  2. When monitoring the system itself I see a lot of free memory and the system really isn’t pushing itself at all. Not even at half capacity.
  3. Mostly because when I let the gui run it tells me 13% remaining when it is only using about 2500mb. It has a habit of suffering from some lag spikes when it is between 2.5g and 3g
  4. Okay Folks, so this one is strange and I can’t seem to find any information about it online. Essentially I decided to increase the RAM allotment on my server as more friends have begun playing recently and didn’t want there to be any lag. I have plenty of additional RAM and wanted to push the server to 6GB. I set -Xms2500M and -Xmx6G in the User_jvm_args file but it is not being reflected when I run my server. I checked the run.sh and it appears to be configured to accept the arguments correctly from that file. What am I missing here? Also is there a way for me to just directly run the .jar because I believe the arguments are being dropped somewhere along the way. Thanks
