    My game closed when I placed a block and I cannot join the world anymore.

    Hi, I had this exact same issue, although I was running a forge 1.18.1 server. As a result of this error exactly one chunk would appear "Invisible" in the world. The way I fixed it probably will not help OP, but maybe will help someone else running a forge server. I used the /fill commands in the base game to remove the blocks that I knew my harvester contraption was located in, and filled these blocks with air, This did not immediatedly solve the problem, but after I restarted the server the "invisible chunk" error/problem was gone.
