Freezes like that usually point to a mod choking the game thread, so I’d start by pulling the latest logs and checking for mods spamming errors. I’ve had a couple of broken resource packs trigger weird hangs too, so swapping in fresh ones from https://modscraft.net/en/ helped me narrow things down. Also try disabling chunk preloading or any heavy world-gen mods to see if the issue stops.
