Dang, I'm so dumb. Probably because it's 3:40 AM and I should really get some sleep. Thank you for your help. For the posterity's sake, I just added the assets folder into the archive, and it works as supposed. Third time's a charm.

I did put "assets" and "hexperience" from "hexperience_common" folder into /mcp/src folder and it worked just fine, but the compiler doesn't seem to include assets folder, where the textures are. So what now?

Sure, but when I run recompile.bat and reobfuscate.bat, I suppose the files should be in the reobf folder? If so, they aren't there. Ah, I forgot to include logs from the bat files. This is recompile: == MCP 8.04 (data: 8.04, client: 1.6.2, server: 1.6.2) == "scalac" is not found on the PATH. Scala files will not be recompiled # found ff, ff patches, srgs, name csvs, doc csvs, param csvs, astyle, astyle co nfig, rg, ss == Recompiling client == > Cleaning bin > Recompiling - Done in 19.60 seconds !! Can not find server sources, try decompiling !! Aby kontynuować, naciśnij dowolny klawisz . . . And this is reobfuscate: == MCP 8.04 (data: 8.04, client: 1.6.2, server: 1.6.2) == "scalac" is not found on the PATH. Scala files will not be recompiled # found ff, ff patches, srgs, name csvs, doc csvs, param csvs, astyle, astyle co nfig, rg, ss > Creating Retroguard config files == Reobfuscating client == > Cleaning reobf > Generating md5s > Packing jar > Reobfuscating jar > Extracting modified classes - Done in 4.76 seconds !! Can not find server md5s !! Aby kontynuować, naciśnij dowolny klawisz . . . So how do I fix this?

This issue is more of IDE related than anything else, but it's a thing I can't get over with. I use mcp workspace for eclipse, but I keep my mod source files completely separate from the mcp folder (they are put as a separate Java project that requires Minecraft in build path) just because it's easier to keep them in Git. Inside eclipse using the Run command everything works perfectly fine, I checked it a couple times, but when I export is as a .jar or zip files from the eclipse workspace (if I'm doing it wrong, please correct me), and then place them into normal minecraft mods folder, it crashes. Compiling the files using .bat files doesn't work, and I suppose it's because they are separate (also correct me if I'm wrong). I have the same versions of Minecraft (1.6.2) and Forge (*.803) installed in the client and the source. http://gw.minecraftforge.net/6YVO That's the main class of the mod. http://gw.minecraftforge.net/2jCm That's the reference class for item names. http://gw.minecraftforge.net/GCUq That's the HexDust item class. http://gw.minecraftforge.net/K44F That's the ItemHEX class. -

I sure saw it, but what next? -
I generally used Pahimar's Let's Mod series and Generic Mod tutorials on the wiki to learn minecraft modding and I have one significant problem. Yes. Textures. In Eclipse I set my workspace to mcp/eclipse, and this is my main Minecraft source code, but then I also set another Java Project as my source code + resources. Now then, how do I set textures without adding any unnecessary stuff into the Minecraft source folder itself and is there a way to put a texture right from the resources folder?
