I will try the installer... Update: The installer is having a situation finding the .minecraft file, it keeps saying run the launcher first and yet I have run the launcher several times now... not sure what the issue is but I guess I will just play Minecraft without the enjoyment of mods. Also to your little comment on updating, I have tried downloading forge for 1.6.2. for ages and I cant seem to get it to work (which is the main reason I wanted to stick to 1.5.2) it says using forge version... and the when I click on "Play" it sends me right back to the screen. So if anyone is willing to assist me with that problem, thank you in advance.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I was able to download the deobuscation_data_1.5.2.zip file as well.

Now as you can already tell I am new here, but I have been using forge to download mods for quite some time now and only recently I have encountered an issue. As the post title says, "There was a fatal error starting up minecraft and FML". Now I have looked through your forums seeing if anyone with the same problem had found a solution... and some have some others have not. I have tried downloading the files it says I require to fix it but I was only able to download files asm-all-4.1.jar, guava-14.0-rc3.jar, and argo-small-3.2.jar. The rest come up as 404 errors. Any help is appreciated, thank you in advanced.
