SOLVED: Goto https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1272953-1-8-8-optifine-hd-f5-fps-boost-hd-textures and download the Preview OptiFine HD F8 for Minecraft 1.8 release. Just tested on forge-1.8-11.14.3.1562 and it is working 100% ORIGINAL PROBLEM: Minecraft 1.8, No mods at all except for: OptiFine_1.8.0_HD_U_D5 and no resource packs. Optifine is on it's default settings. When I use "forge-1.8-11.14.3.1521" everything renders out just fine, but any version of Forge newer than 1521 gives a much! darker render to all 3D inventory blocks. See attached image.

after more testing, it is definitely something that changed in Forge after version 1521 that is causing the issue when Optifine is loaded. So, yeah, we need a new version of Optifine after "OptiFine_1.8.0_HD_U_D5" but I do not think that is going to happen. Holding thumbs though

I am not sure if my issue is related or not, so for now I am adding it here. My setup is: Minecraft 1.8, No mods at all except for: OptiFine_1.8.0_HD_U_D5 and no resource packs. I have read that forge did update their render engine thingy and that Optifine now needs to catch up. Is this still true?
