I have just tried using a more basic shader pack that I used to play on my old, rubbish pc but it crashes Minecraft on here.

Which means that the shaders from the shader mod require a newer GLSL version (= newer graphics card). You could try updating your graphics drivers, that might fix it, too. Ok thank you.

I have a Nvidia Gforce GTX 645 M

I can also run must games on Ultra settings.

Hi, I currently use Forge 1.7.2 and Unbelievable Shaders 1.7.2. On my server list it says that all of my servers are Vanilla and when I go to join a server or open a single player world. Minecraft crashes. But it doesn't have a crash report. Why is this? Thanks, Sam
