I don't know how to explain that, but ender pearls works worse with forge than without it. An example of that, is if you throw an ender pearl to a pilar with ladders in one side (the pearl is threw to the side with ladders). With FML, you will teleport inside of the pilar and be pushed out because of sofocación, fall, and probably die. In vanilla minecraft, you will teleport to the ladders, and then climb them up. It happens with the last (and also the recommended one) version of forge (I don't remember the number) for minecraft 1.7.2. I have no mods.
