    I feel dumb. I just checked and found that were quite a few versions between what I had and the latest. Loaded the latest and now it works fine. Sorry to trouble you all!

    On a clean version of minecraft and with the newest 64x version of java, I successfully installed Forge v10.13.0.1208 for minecraft version 1.7.10 I hit play. Everything closes. wat do? Here are my logs This did not seem to happen with a much older version of java (v6 I believe) or with vanilla minecraft. Any ideas?
