    I successfully installed Forge 1.7.2 but now Minecraft won't load the Forge version. I have played the vanilla 1.7.2.

    I downloaded the 1.7.2 exe installer and it says this program requires Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0

    I went to files.minecraftforge.net and downloaded 1.6.4 Recommended- Installer. When the download was complete, my computer said, "What program do you want to open this type of file with (.jar)?" I do not know which program to choose. I have searched online for hours and haven't found an answer. I have a Windows Eight computer.
