  1. I was able to fix the crash by making a custom version of BlockFluidBase. EnumWorldBlockLayer is in BlockFluidBase that BlockFluidClassic extends It seemed to be missing a @SideOnly(Side.Client)

Using BlockFluidClassic seems to cause a crash on servers java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/util/EnumWorldBlockLayer I can't see anything in my blocks code causing it so is it BlockFluidClassic that is not meant to be used?   4. I have been messing round trying to get a custom bucket to work but I don't know how to set up I fluid handler in 1.8. I tried porting an older one but I could not get it to work as a lot of what it uses changed (as they seem to rewrite minecraft most updates). (I know fluids are not rendered by forge in 1.
  5. I want to know if I can make a custom fluid using the stock minecraft classes and if that would work as right now forges fluid rendering does not work.
  6. Is there anyway to render a fluid in minecraft 1.8, looking online it looks like it's been disabled. Should I just try and make a fluid like the vanilla classes since forges stuff is broken?

Does anyone know to create a liquid in 1.8, I have been looking for information and have tried to go off the 1.7.2 stuff on the forge wiki but most of that is now broken (IIcon,canDisplace,DisplaceIfPossible). So really what changes have to be made to this http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Create_a_Fluid , to make it work on 1.8.

  9. It seems to fail strait away, the only println ever called is the one I put in block furnace (where it's meant to call the GUI).
