    Forge Not Loading Mods

    I am attempting to load Candycraft 1.7.10, currently running Minecraft 1.8.8, I am unable to get Minecraft to recognize the Mod. I have placed it in the mod section but it never appears in the Forge section. Any advice. Thanks
