I think he is running 1.8.9. It is my understanding that when we install forge, it puts the version of Minecraft to that same version. Is that correct? Or is he not able to use it until there is a new version of forge/not enough items mod? There are so many places to download these. I went in and deleted all of the ones we tried to make it clean again. Do you recommend a specific source to download? Thank you for helping me be a super mom in helping him do this!

Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this question. I am trying to help my son install forge and not enough items mods. He is running Minecraft 1.8.9. Can anyone clarify for me if the version of minecraft, forge and the mod have to be the same? I'm very confused. Thank you to anyone who can help. TotallyCJ's Mom
