  1. I have a mod I've been using to learn and experiment with, and just updated it to 1.12. Updating ForgeGradle and all the necessary code worked fine. Yay! The mod is fully operational in my development environment, but when I try to use the mod outside of that it will crash during initialization because a dependent package is not available. I've been including the package via build.gradle with compile: dependencies { compile "org.yaml:snakeyaml:1.17" // Used to load InitRegistry from file } Just as a test, I changed this to 'embed' and that quickly solved the problem. Great, except according to the ForgeGradle doc it is not recommended to embed dependencies due to class conflicts in other mods, which makes sense. My question is what am I missing, or what is the best practice method to get dependencies included when you distribute the mod? Thx.
