New to Forge, Does Optifine not work with Forge currently?

I recently install Forge for the first time and wanted to put in Optifine as well.

 

According to Direwolf20 the video put into the Release Forum all you have to do is drop the Zip folder into the mods folder.

That didn't work for me.

 

Is there something that i missed or do i need to wait longer for Optifine to work with Forge currently?

    Seriously guys, if you install a mod, read it's install instructions. The optifine thread has very detailed instructions on how to install Optifine with forge.

    After reading other post this is happened before with this mod didn't realize they had instruction especially being like i said NEW to this.
