Changing the light value of a block depending on it's metadata

Hey,

I'm trying to have a block that uses metadata to show whether it is on or not. When it's on, it should have a light value of 8. However there doesn't seem to be a metadata sensitive version.

Is there any other way to do this or am I going to have to use the vanilla way of having two separate blocks?

Thanks,

Watkins

In your block, override:

public int getLightValue(IBlockAccess iba, int i, int j, int k)
{
     int meta = iba.getBlockMetadata(i, j, k);
     if(meta == 0)
     {
          return 15;
     }
     return 0;
}
