changing server ram from 4G to 6G does nothing

i tried to allow my server to run more smoothly but adding more ram didnt add more,  instead it kept it at 4G

or am I using wrong code or something ?

i uncommented it and it is still at 4G even though i set it to 6G

by "is at 4G" I meant that it doesn't go higher than 4.5Gb ram

when i'm playing on the server and travel fast using elytra or using nether it starts to lag it a lot

or could it be anti-cheat ?

because while i start to use one of them the server ram starts spiking and the console says I moved too fast

sometimes it says its overloaded
