Ive been looking at the code for the map but cant find where in there about how you look down on to the map.

 

What i want is to know how you can make a card like object to look down at and hold it like a map.

Hello, you need to Look at the Renderer for the map which should be located in the rendering files of minecraft.

Here is a good Tutorial by iChun (developer of the PortalgunMod) which should help you with your problem.

Its all about ItemRendering in the Players hand.

 

Let me try and rephrase what im asking for,

 

I want to be able to make a map like item with my own static texture on it, like in thaumcraft.

 

I cant find the map renderer anywhere either. could someone possible tell me the path or help me with what im asking for please
