I want to add support for the Ore_Tree mod in BotanyPots (BotanyTree addon). To test the changes I need to start BotanyPots together with the Ore_Tree mod. However I am incapable of doing so. I tried to add Ore_Tree to the build_gradle dependency, the libs folder and even the run/mods folder. But none of it worked. I googled a long time and did not find a solution. What did I do wrong?

I managed to get it working with adding

flatDir { dirs 'libs' } to repositories and 

implementation fg.deobf("whatever.whatever.whatever:oretree:1.16.5") to dependencies

 

All these did not work:

compile files("libs/Ore_Tree_v0.1.0.jar")

compile fg.deobf(files("libs/Ore_Tree_v0.1.0.jar"))

implementation files("libs/Ore_Tree_v0.1.0.jar")

implementation fg.deobf(files("libs/Ore_Tree_v0.1.0.jar"))
