Hi, im a random user who came upon this post, and i too have this same problem. java virtual machine error. it pops up before the launcher even launches and it happens with the vanilla launcher or curseforge. either or. neither works. 

edit: this is in 1.18.2 forge 40.1.52
strangely enough, 1.19 with forge 41.0.45 works just fine
