Hi, this has been happening to me lately (see attached url to OP). I use a macOS. I have had no problems before and since the 1.19 update it started crashing. I reached out to curseforge but they said to reach out to Forge bec it’s a modloader issue and it is not on their end. Can anyone please shed a light? I have tried installing and uninstalling java, curseforge, minecraft, hard restarting my os and any other fix I can find from other forums, but nothing seems to work.

When I try to install mods on my curseforge app, everything works fine but when it comes to saying “Installing java runtime 8” then “extracting java 8” then “applying patch 1/6, 2/6…” then it stops, as described on the link below. I don’t know how to attach photos to better explain but this is the OP:

https://minecraft.curseforge.com/forums/general-curseforge/support/268398-curseforge-desktop-app-installing-or-creating

Post: “Whenever I made a modpack or install one, it does everything normally but after reaching 'applying patch 2 of 6', it just stops there and causes an error, leading to a setup/installation error.

I have tried everything- Reinstall curseforge, Reinstall overwolf, repair installation, disable antivirus and firewall, use vpn, uninstall java, reinstall java, update java, restart PC, reinstall Minecraft, allowing every java, Minecraft and overwolf program through the firewall on both public and private network, login and logout of curseforge, and what not. It has been over a year now and I'm just hopeless at this point.

One thing that I have noticed is that it works fine for fabric and vanilla modpacks when I create them but just not for forge”

    • The crash points to moonlight lib - try other builds or make a test without this mod and the mods requiring it
    • Do you have shaders enabled? There is an issue with the mod simpleclouds - remove this mod or disable shaders, if enabled
    • Maybe you need to create file in assets/<modid>/items/<itemname>.json with content like this:   { "model": { "type": "minecraft:model", "model": "modname:item/itemname" } }
