I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft java and forge and nothing has made a difference. Even getting rid of the .minecraft folder before reinstalling does nothing except give me exit code 1 when trying to load up with forge

Edit title to mention MC version and solution

Getting a similar problem here. Tried everything I could think of other than wiping the computer but to no avail. It must be something with Forge though because Vanilla launches fine but Forge (even with no mods installed) always crashes

 

Edit: I have narrowed it down to being a problem with forge 42.0.2 and later
