Hi, Matt Monk and I are about half-way throiugh writing 'Minecraft Mastery' for McGraw-Hill ( http://www.amazon.com/Minecraft-Mastery-Build-Redstone-Contraptions/dp/0071839666 )

We have a few chapters planned that will use Forge, but we don't want to go putting a load of 1.6 stuff in if 1.7 is going to be radically different. We can hold off for a bit on those chapters, but any hints you could give us on what will change would be very much appreciated.

If anyone from Forge, could send us an IM, that would be great.

Si. and Matt.

This is the info avilable as of now:

Forge has not begun their update work, so most things are unkown.

As for 1.6 -> 1.7 there will be big changes. I recommend that your read the above linked thread, there are several posts from the Forge team there about the update, it should give you what you need to make an informed choice :)

If you guys dont get it.. then well ya.. try harder...
