I had to delete my minecraft folder and dl the new minecraft...I was surprised to find that there is no BIN anymore. Minecraft jars are now in a file titled VERSIONS. I ended up with three files in the versions one each for minecraft 1.7.2 and 1.6.4 and 1.6.2 eachone with a different minecraft jar. Once I ran the 1.6.4 winloader of FORGE I had a FORGE jar file to use in my new VERSIONS folder along with the other three folders of different versions of minecraft . FORGE seems to work fine in this new environment however my problem is "Where do I load my MODS into". I am trying to use the MOD Optifine mod but the only way to load it is either into the Versions/minecraft 1.6.4 or the Versions/Forge 1.6.4 I should note loading it into the forge jar disables the game. Loading it into the 1.6.4 folder doesn't work..I end up with a fifth folder titled Optifine. I am confused, how do I load the mods I want or rather where do I load the mods I want?

                              Optifine install instructions

1.Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it’s in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin

2.Create a backup of minecraft.jar

3.Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)

4.Delete the META-INF folder.

5.Copy the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.

6.Run Minecraft and test!

So your suggesting what? and Where? please elaborate.

Mod EDIT: Nobody cares.

Installation for Minecraft 1.6.2 with Forge

B. Simple

(for OptiFine 1.6.2_C4 and newer)

- Put the OptiFine JAR file in the Forge "mods" folder

- Start Minecraft and Forge should automatically load OptiFine

tl;dr: Just put the optifine zip into your mods folder like any other mod.
