I've been following the tutorials as much as possible and scouring source for new versions of the deprecated classes mentioned in the tutorials for forge 3.x (considering most aren't up to date with 4.x yet) and I've realized that now was probably a bad time to try to get into modding right in the middle of a major version change that isn't fully documented but I'm still pushing along. Please bear with me as this likely won't be the first noob question I have to ask (although I'm trying to avoid having to ask at all as much as possible).

On to the question: what event handler do I call for a block interaction? Like for example (I'm not really making a new furnace but,) let's say I was making a new furnace with a different UI than the vanilla furnace (not sure if that really matters). I've created the block, it can be crafted, placed, and broken but I'm not sure how to check for a player right click event to open the gui.

the hook is called onBlockActivation. simply override that method in your block class.

Ah ok, thanks... I looked for a good while then I just gave up for the day... I spent several hours learning the modding process yesterday and needed a break anyway. Now to get back into this once again.
