I'm very new to this - as in, I've just learned what Modrinth and MultiMC are. I'm low vision and I've been having trouble finding resources to help me with the modpack I want to create and how to admin/run the server.

I've downloaded the 1.20.1 forge server and it's in a folder on my desktop. In the mods folder, I've put a few mods I downloaded from Modrinth. When I click run.bat it takes a little bit to load then seems to work okay. Another window appears with a white box on the left side and a ton of writing, I'm assuming code, on the right.

I'm hoping to use a dedicated IP to run the server off of instead of my home one.

How do I start the server instance with MultiMC?

How are performance/optimization mods used server-side? Are any specific ones easier to use/more accessible than others?

Are there any tips for going through the many lines of code in the logs? Can I search for specific words instead of having my screenreader do every line?

You have to install this modpack in your client (MultiMc), too

Create a new Instance there and install the same Forge builds - run it once and close the game in main menu

Then copy your server mods folder to your MultiMC instance

For performance mods, check this list:

In the log, check for ERR or ERROR lines

Try my Modpack
