cant access server

when i enter my bf's server after it does all the loading, encrypting a message popps up: "Internal Exception: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundaException: index: 4, length: 13996 (expected: range(0, 800))" 

one time i saw myself in the server but then got kicked out with the same message. My boyfriend's POV is me joining and leaving the server. I play on 1.19.2 version.  i think i t may be an issue with a mod me and bf recently updated.
