Posted October 13, 20241 yr I have been trying to combat this issue between oculus and embeddium and to no avail... I have already tried a few online tutorials on how to get this working but it doesn't work at all. https://pastebin.com/geQgifjc

October 14, 20241 yr Author Other than removing distant horizons, is there another way to resolve this issue or conflict? What is the exact issue or conflict with distant horizons?
October 14, 20241 yr Do you have shaders active? Most shaders do not work with distant horizons Create a separate Instance and only start with Embeddium/Oculus and distant horizons Make some tests with different builds of these mods and different shaders until you work a working combination - then add the rest of your mods Try my Modpack >>Link to Curseforge<<
October 15, 20241 yr Author I downgraded distant horizons and managed to get everything to work... but for some reason i keep getting these little lag spikes and i read some reddit posts saying its the garbage collector in built with java doing this... are there any fixes someone can suggest?

Try the JVM argument in this post, just sub xmx/xms numbers for what you want/need allocated. https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/s/lzmKUNZFrG I'm having the same issue with a huge modpack using the 3 culprits to your issue. Let me know if this helps! Edited January 21Jan 21 by TestSubject
