January 15, 201411 yr From experience. I just jumped into modding, learning java as I went. To be fair I had a lot of background with other languages.
January 16, 201411 yr Honestly, JAVA is the third/fourth language that I've learned, so the resources that I've used to learn it might not be as effective to you as they were for me. Either way, here are a couple links that I've found to be helpful: Udacity's Intro to Programming - https://www.udacity.com/course/cs046 TheNewBoston's Video Series - Reddit's LearnJava subreddit - http://www.reddit.com/r/learnjava That being said, I went through the entire Udacity course, and then watched a couple videos from TheNewBoston playlist.
