I'm running OpenJDK 24 just fine on PaperMC, Spigot, and Minecraft using Linux. This is a special version that I compiled from source so it has all of the features without the debug bloat. I believe it will run anything that I throw at it so can I tell Forge to ignore the version/turn off version checking? If so, how?

What is the highest version of OpenJDK that is supported by Forge? I searched the forum and didn't find anything. Sorry!

Thank you,

R

I think I answered my own question: It appears OpenJDK 21 is the newest supported version.

The Forge config fml.toml has this but it doesn't affect version checking of OpenJDK:

#Enable forge global version checking
versionCheck = false
