in an event checking the block being harvested, i need a way to render digging fx and destroy fx.

public class Handler

{

@ForgeSubscribe

public void onBlockHarvest(HarvestDropsEvent event)

{

if(event.block == Block.oreIron

&& event.harvester.getCurrentEquippedItem().itemID == Boom.blazePickaxe.itemID)

{

event.drops.clear();

event.drops.add(new ItemStack(Item.ingotIron));

//something to render digging fx with the flame particle using event.block

}

}

}

The block breaking particles are called "tilecrack_" in 1.6.x, and you must append the id and metadata value:

String particle = "tilecrack_" + event.block.blockID + "_" + worldObj.getBlockMetadata(event.x, event.y, event.z);

Then just spawn that particle normally. You can look through vanilla code to find where those particles are spawned and copy how that's done, or write your own algorithm to get them spawning in the way that you want.
