i am trying to make a craftingHandler that gives achievements when crafting stuff but i can't get it to work. I found tutorials on how to detect stuff when smelting but not when crafting. the code i have so far:

public class CraftingHandler {

@SubscribeEvent

public void onCrafing(PlayerEvent.ItemCraftedEvent Event){

if (Event.crafting.getItem().equals(woodenGearItem)){

Event.player.addStat(woodenGearAchievement, 1);

}

}

}

i get errors on the wooden Gear and the achievement even if import the whole project

Please learn basic java before modding.

That's not how it works. You can import classes, of which the items may be a field, but if the item is not a local field in your crafting handler class, then of course you cannot access it simply by typing it in there, not to mention you should follow standard code naming conventions.

If you're using Eclipse, hover your mouse over the error and it will generally tell you what's wrong, from which point Google / Java tutorials can further help you resolve the issue :P
