Modeling and texture mapping for OSX?

Is there a good tool for making models and textures to use in my minecraft mod on a mac? I've tried using blender but it seems ridiculously complicated. is there a better tool?

An easy to use software would be http://craftstud.io/  It has osx support and can (when you pay it [10$]) compile into java.

But there is no documentation on how to use it for minecraft.

 

Otherwise you would have to wait for techne online.
