Hey guys, I am fairly new to this forge thing + mods in minecraft, but I have a very good understanding of that something doesn't quite seem right when I attempt to play solo or multiplayer on my friend's server.

I thought I'd got the hang of it when I first installed it and played a couple of times multiplayer with my friends, but after we added two mods to the server (and our modfolders) some of us couldn't manage to connect to the server anymore!

It was working perfectly fine before and we all could log in without any issues at all, but now only two of us can enter the server and play. Me and my other friend on the other hand, are stuck on loading screen - later seeing our game freeze before we can enter the game. It gives us no error message at all, but does always freeze on the loading screen.

Sometimes the loading text disapears and shows nothing and sometimes it just says "Loading world/building terrain".

And that's not it either - If someone is online on the server, they can see me entering the server, but not responding. It basically means that I can connect, but not really load the game on our screen. It's really weird!

My suspicion is that those two mods ("Ars Magica" and "Witchery") aren't compatible with my pc or something, but I have tried to delete the entire ".minecraft" and install it all over again. I've done it 4 times without any successful progress, it just leads back to the same problem. My pc is btw very good. It has an AMD octo-core processor, OC to 4,01 GHz and atm it runs 16 GB RAM, which I think should be enough to at least run the game. I've also messed with my Java, trying to re-install it and stuff - getting the latest versions or the most prefered versions for minecraft, but nothing seems to solve my case. My latest attempt was to try copying my friend's functioning ".minecraft"-folder, to make sure we had installed everything the right way, but we ended up having the same problem anyway - freeze on loading.

Are there anyone out there who has dealt with those issues earlier who can give me some advice? Everything else than forge is working alright when I launch vanilla minecraft, but I wanna play forged minecraft with my friends :(

1. Mods cannot be 'incompatible' with your machine.

2. What version of Minecraft are you using?

3. This should be in Support & Bug Reports

Thanks :)

Also something that would help would be to goto your Instance and Edit it, Set it so the launcher does not close, and when you join the server, copy the log in the Console tab, and paste it here, of course using [ spoiler] and [/ spoiler] tags!

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm new to the forums and didn't get where I should post it xD

I'm running the 1.6.4 version, btw :)

(sorry for the late reply)

Thank you for your reply!

I went for option B) and it seems to work for now. It took some time to load it, but at least it's working alright so far. Thx dude! :D
