Posted July 5, 201411 yr Hello everyone, have a question. What the method for giving an id (number id) to item/block? Really can't find it on wiki. Forge giving my items random number ID's. Is text file requed for id config?
July 5, 201411 yr 1.6.4: Use the Configuration class to get a ID. 1.7.2: Minecraft (Forge) assigns a ID to your block/item. You don't have to worry about IDs. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/
July 5, 201411 yr Author larsgerrits, ID is changing every game, and i want to install my mod to the server for example. There would be probably some ID dismatches, i think.
July 5, 201411 yr Forge gives you a previously unassigned ID, now in 1.7.2+. As larsgerrits stated, you don't have to worry about IDs.
July 5, 201411 yr Author Seems to have understood. ID's are attached to the world (or something like that) since 1.7? And there is no need in any ID config anymore in game?
July 5, 201411 yr Author THIS IS THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD THIS MONTH!!! AWESOME CHANGE! Thank for info, guys!
